Two of Hearts – Valentine Sugar Cookies

I try to make sugar cookies every month, as we love them in this household. Of course, with Valentine’s Day around the corner, I decided to make pink hearts—in two shades of pink. 

Alex liked eating the cookies fresh out of the oven (who doesn’t?). 

I adore the color pink. My favorite is a very pale pink—so pale it is almost white. It reminds me of my room as a child. 

I love the simplicity of these hearts: they don’t need much decoration, they are relatively easy to make, but delicious. I used my basic sugar cookie recipe and almond frosting. I anticipate these will go quickly and I will be making more before Valentine’s Day!
